Between early 2015 and late 2017, I commuted by ferry across the bay into New York Harbor and Jersey City. These photographs are artifacts of the commute, often punctuated by portraits of the Stature of Liberty.
Back in the mid-1980s, Amy and I bought an old camera shop in Port Clinton, Ohio and converted it to a gallery and studio. I was really into community photography at the time and that part of the Lake Erie shore was a great place to start our family. This is some personal work and work that we sold in the gallery during that time. We recently rebuilt a Pentax 6x7 to follow up on this series.
A daily collection of images began with the first iPhone, often as a simple reaction to light. We’ll see where this lands.
